Verification & Assessment

How Funds Are Disbursed

Disbursement method depends on your product — designed to eliminate diversion risk.

No cash disbursed to borrower for Trade Micro-Credit. Ever.
Understanding ESDA

Repayment Before the Money Arrives.

The Employer Salary Deduction Arrangement (ESDA) is a tripartite agreement between you, your employer, and Zerne Capital.

Your employer deducts your monthly instalment from your gross salary — before net pay is processed — and remits it directly to us. The repayment happens before the money ever reaches your account.

GSI serves as the secondary backstop — activated if ESDA lapses or employment ends.

1

All Three Parties Sign

Employee, employer HR/payroll, and Zerne Capital sign before any disbursement.

2

Employer Runs Payroll

Monthly instalment deducted from gross salary before net pay is calculated.

3

Remitted to Zerne

Deducted amount sent directly to our account — before you receive your salary.

4

GSI Activates if Needed

If employment ends, GSI immediately triggers across all BVN-linked accounts.

Understanding GSI

The Cross-Bank Repayment Net.

Guaranteed Standing Instruction (GSI) is CBN-mandated infrastructure that auto-debits your bank account on agreed repayment dates — across every account linked to your BVN.

Switch banks. Move funds around. GSI still collects.

🌐

Cross-Bank

All BVN-linked accounts, any Nigerian bank.

⚙️

Fully Automatic

No manual action needed from borrower or lender.

📋

CBN-Mandated

Legally backed — industry standard in Nigerian lending.

Capital Protection

Three Layers. Every Product.

No Zerne Capital product relies on a single repayment mechanism. Every facility has at least two.

Primary
💼

ESDA

For salaried employees. Deducted from gross salary before net pay. Strongest possible protection.

Secondary
🔒

GSI

Auto-debits any BVN-linked account. Activates immediately if ESDA lapses or for non-salaried products.

Tertiary
🤝

Personal Guarantee

Signed by borrower — and guarantor for self-employed. Enables legal recovery and bureau reporting on default.

B2B Only
🏭

Direct Supplier Payment

Funds paid directly to supplier — never to the borrower. Eliminates fund diversion entirely.
